Residential Programs

The Lighthouse

LH is a program for up to 4 young mothers (ages 13-22) and their children. The home is focused on supporting the residents by offering: trauma informed case management focused on goal setting for our young moms to finish their primary and secondary education, learning healthy parenting techniques, life skills,  and re-education on healthy relationships and community.

Lighthouse residents must attend the following:

  1. Weekly case management meetings
  2. Weekly parenting class
  3. Mandatory house meetings
  4. Full time school or job training classes
  5. Daily job duties

Lighthouse residents will live in our program for one year then transfer to our second home (The New Creation House) to begin the process of transitioning back into the community.

To inquire about becoming a resident at the Lighthouse, contact Lisa Moody, Residential Program Coordinator at or call 650-321-3109.

New Creation Transitional House

NCHM is a transitional living program for families who have lived at the Lighthouse for at least one year. Housing costs are prohibitive to a young mother-earning minimum wage. At the New Creation Transitional House residents are encouraged to continue their educational and vocational goals to secure a more sustainable and independent living situation for their families in the future. Residents pay a low program fee (one third of typical housing costs in the area) as they continue to learn how to budget and manage personal finances. This home requires at least a year-long residence at the Lighthouse before consideration.
